Everyone’s Warhammer 40,000 collection starts with a first squad, and there’s no tidier way to begin than with the Angels of Death. This box hands you two Space Marines Intercessors and six Warhammer Colour paints to armour them up in the classic Ultramarines scheme. It’s a low-cost, low-commitment way to find out whether you love painting before you dive into a full army and a cracking gift for anyone eyeing up the hobby.

What’s in the box

• 2 push-fit plastic Space Marines Intercessors, armed with bolt rifles and posed for variety
• 6 Warhammer Colour Base paints (12ml pots): Macragge Blue, Leadbelcher, Retributor Armour, Abaddon Black, Corax White and Mournfang Brown
• 1 starter brush to get the first coats down

Why it’s a great first step

• Push-fit assembly no glue needed, just clippers to free the parts
• All six pots are Base paints, so they cover solidly straight over the plastic
• Add a Shade such as Nuln Oil when you want the edges and recesses to pop

You’ll be painting within minutes of opening the box. Get these two done and you’ll have the confidence and the core colours to take on a whole company.

Supplied unpainted; push-fit assembly, clippers not included. Pairs perfectly with the 40K Paints + Tools Set to round out your kit, or grow your Space Marines force. Weighing up where to begin? Browse the full 40K starter sets range, and our 11th edition starter sets guide compares them all.

Want the clippers in the box? The Space Marines Painting Taster bundle adds the Paints + Tools Set for around 10% less than buying them separately.
