Nothing ages a tank or a battered warband base like a good layer of thick, clinging mud and Black Thick Mud lays it on convincingly. This textured effect goes straight onto running gear, boots and lower hulls, drying to a dense, dark, caked-on finish that looks like it’s been dragged through a filthy battlefield. Build it up where the muck would really collect for instant, believable grime.

Best for

• Caked mud on tank tracks, running gear and lower hulls
• Filthy infantry bases and boots
• Grim, waterlogged battlefield dioramas

Thick Mud takes a little longer to dry fully than the thinner effects, so build it in stages and let each layer set for the deepest, most convincing muck.

Battlefield filth straight from the pot. Pairs perfectly with the wider Vallejo Weathering Effects range and a few pigments for extra depth.
