The finishing touch for exhausts and battle-worn metal. Vallejo’s Mecha Color Brown Engine Soot is a matt weathering colour for mecha, gunpla and vehicles built to stain vents, thrusters and panel edges with the grimy residue of hard use. Its matt finish and tough formula make it perfect for the dirtiest jobs.

Best for

• Soot and grime around exhausts, vents and thrusters
• Staining panel edges and worn, hard-used areas
• Airbrush for soft build-up, or brush for targeted grime

Feather it out from vents and seams and your mech looks like it’s actually been running hot.

The soot tone that sells a hard-used machine. Pair it with a black wash and chipping effects for a battle-worn look.
