Upon hearing Gondors call for aid, Thoden rallies his forces and prepares for war. He leads the Riders of Rohan, whose skill as cavalry is said to match that of the Elves. His armies are swelled by warriors of Rohan who take up steel and shield to defend their homes and fight for their king.
