The husband-and-wife design team of Charles and Ray Eames found inspiration for their lounge chair and ottoman in the 19th-century English club chair. Charles is quoted as saying he wanted the lounge chair to have the warm receptive look of a well-used first baseman’s mitt. The result is distinctive craftsmanship with a modern feel that still looks contemporary 65 years later. Made to their exacting standards by Herman Miller and Vitra, Eames furniture and accessories add sleek style to any dcor!
