Scarab Red is the metallic that makes you look twice a rich, glinting red with a fine, even sparkle rather than the chunky glitter some metallics fall into. Think iridescent beetle carapaces, exotic scale armour, or any scheme that wants a warm metal that isn’t gold or bronze.

Best for

• Beetle-shell armour and iridescent scale effects
• Warm metallic trim as an alternative to gold or brass
• Basecoating before a wash for instant depth

Lay it over a dark undercoat for the richest shimmer, then a coat of shade brings out every facet without dulling the sparkle.

Metallics reward a good undercoat. Grab a black or dark primer and browse the rest of the metallic shades in the Two Thin Coats range to build a full warm-metal palette.
