A warm near-black with a brown undertone, Brown Black is the shade for dark leather, earth and cloth that would look wrong in cold black. AK’s Quick Gen Brown Black is a contrast-style speed paint that lays base, shadow and highlight in a single pass over a white or light primer, giving you rich, warm darkness in one coat. A versatile workhorse for army painting.

Best for

• Speed-painting armies in a single coat
• Dark leather, earth and warm-toned cloth
• A warmer alternative to pure black shading

Prime light, one coat of Brown Black, and you get depth with a warm cast that suits leather and earth far better than cold black.

Shade and highlight in one pass, no fuss. Fill out your colours in the model paints range.
