Aztec Turquoise is the one wash in the range that does double duty shading recesses the way a wash should, but tinting everything it touches with a genuine blue-green colour rather than just muddying it. It’s the shortcut to a convincing teal scheme without three separate layers.

Best for

• Shading and tinting teal or turquoise armour and cloth
• Glazing gemstones for a cool, glassy finish
• Cooling down warm metallics with a single coat

Flow it into the details over a lighter base and let it pool where it should one pass gets you shade and colour together, which is the whole point of the Two Thin Coats approach.

A wash this useful deserves good company. Pick a Midtone from the Two Thin Coats range to lay down first, then let this do the shading.
